Written by Charles Piazzi Smyth, a British astronomer who was appointed Astronomer Royal for Scotland. CONDITION Bound in full green cloth. Externally, very smart with fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and minor age toning to the extremities. Contemporary ink inscription to the title page.
