On the vignette, the engraving of their building has two signs on it. The top sign is for the Boston Bank Note Company. The bottom sign is for the AMERICAN EXPRESS COMPANY . THE CONTENT OF THE LETTER REFERS TO THE PROOF of the customers new engraving and seek approval of such. The upper right corner lists George P. Johnson as the proprietor. This letter is signed by W. A. THOMPSON . CONDITION: There is NOT any discoloration in the blue. I don't know why the scanner did that. This letterhead is ALL bright blue and very fresh in color with a very fine and detailed engraved look. It has normal letter folds and is in excellent condition. The "EBAY ITEM" thing is just a loose piece of paper that is not attached to the letterhead. Approximate size is 8 1/2" X 11". If you have any questions, please contact me.
