The edifice, also known as the "Church of the Fisherman," is the shrine of a little fishing village of 200 or more Italians. Its outside measurements are 50 x 100 feet, and it cost but $30,000 to build. Tasca's paintings and sculptures make of it a miniature cathedral, comparable with any of the great cathedrals of Europe, and unlike anything of its kind in this country.
