1930’s Near Flat BSR Red Mountain #7A (9-1/2") Cast Iron Skillet, Fully Restored

Description: This beautiful BSR Red Mountain #7 skillet is nearly flat. Two pieces of paper seem to neutralize the movement. The cooking surface is beautiful with some shallow utensil marks that will fill in with use over time. There is a sand shift on the bottom edge near the heat ring. A sand shift is caused when the sand in the mold is disturbed when the hot molten iron is hand poured into the mold. It's not a crack, and I included a picture of the inside of the pan in that same area so you could see that the inside of the pan is normal and very smooth. Please see and enlarge all pictures as they are part of the description. If you want additional pictures of any area, don't hesitate to ask. Sometimes I see listings where the seller says a pan is restored and it's still gunky and rusty and I'm left wondering what the seller actually did to the pan. I personally wouldn't even think of cooking a meal for my family in some of those pans. Honestly I think some people think “restored” means they’ve slapped some oil on it. Every pan I sell has been restored by removing the old seasoning/gunk via electrolysis then they are well seasoned with a minimum of three rounds of seasoning. I’m a perfectionist with a good work ethic and I always try my hardest to make every pan look as new as possible. If there is some discoloration left in a pan, it's because it's not coming off. You will NOT be cooking on some stranger’s yucky gunky mess. This skillet is ready to use or gift as soon as you get it home. I think you'll enjoy this well made, smooth pan.
