Description: This listing is for a complete 11-plate set of "Old World" plates issued by Wheaties in the mid-1950s. Considering that these little metal plates are 70 years old, the set is in nice condition. Only one plate, Monaco, has some light deterioration along the right edge (I didn't even notice this when I went through the plates, and only noticed the deterioration in the photos. Plates included in this listing are: Denmark, Egypt, Iran, Malta, Italian Military, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Turkey, and the Bonus Maharajah Plate. The Maharajah Plate is rare because one could only order it when ordering several other sets of plates. The plates were never displayed nor played with, but have some light general storage wear. Oddly enough, back in the 1950's, General Mills just mailed these plates out, stacked together in the heavy paper envelope--no protection between plates. So, one is not going to find many plates in perfect "mint" condition. Earlier, I added a piece of tissue paper between each plate.
