Description: 1956 1957 1958 Porsche 356A/1600 Super Speedster Cylinders, Pistons, Rings, and Wrist pins. These parts were pulled out of an estate of a former European Auto Shop owner. I have described everything to the best of my knowledge and taken detailed pictures of every cylinder wall, pistons and the rings. Wrist pins are pressed into every piston. Please review carefully each pieces condition with descriptions and pictures. Cylinder 592 C - assumed new with dimples still on cylinder walls. Outside stamping is 1-017. Mahle. Piston 592 C discolored in some spots, has some signs that it might be used. Almost Airtight and smooth movement in matching cylinder. No gouges or scratches on piston skirt. Stamping on piston is 3-017 Mahle Cylinder 559 D - assumed new with dimples on cylinder walls. Outside stamping is 1-017 Mahle Piston 559 D discolored in some spots, has some signs that it might be used as well. Almost Airtight and smooth movement in matching cylinder. No gouges or scratches on piston skirt. Staming on piston is 3-017 Mahle Cylinder 555 D - cylinder appears used, but still a smooth gouge and scratch free surface. Some light buildup at the top of the cylinder slows down the piston when sliding out. Stamping 2-125. Mahle. Piston 555 D discolored in some spots, has some signs that it might be used as well. Almost Airtight and smooth movement in matching cylinder. No gouges or scratches on piston skirt, but some on the face of the piston. Staming on piston is 3-017 Mahle Cylinder 917 C matched with piston 554) cylinder appears used, but still a smooth gouge and scratch free surface. Some light buildup (way less than 555) at the top of the cylinder. Stamping numbers couldn’t be found. Piston 544 A discolored in some spots, has some signs that it might be used as well. Almost Airtight and smooth movement in matching cylinder. No gouges or scratches on piston skirt. Staming on piston is 3-017 Mahle Ring condition: some surface corrosion on rings which knocks off pretty easily with a fingernail. These would clean up great in a vapor honing machine and look new. They appear to have never been filed so I would assume they were new with this kit when they got it. Shipping Label on the box is from late early 60’s. Pretty cool old parts that someone might need.
