Description: Entitled " Portrait 1, Dame au Chapeau" this1982 lithograph is by the celebrated Dutch Expressionist painter and printmaker known as Corneille, the pseudonym of Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo (1922-2010) a founding member, along with Karel Appel and Constant, of the European avantgarde COBRA Movement of painters whose brightly colored expressionist works were inspired by primitive art forms, folk art, and childrens drawings. Measuring 29" x 20 3/4" image, 38" x 30" framed it is signed in pencil lower right, titled lower left, 98/300. Unexamined out of frame, It appears to be in excellent condition with no holes, tears, stains, toning or fading and handsomely framed. .
