Description: GOING TO PULL AUCTION IF NOBODY BIDS- OK this is a rare one- I met Mad Marc Rude back in the 80's when I frequented the Bacchanal club in San Diego. He had a weekly club there where he DJ'd and we became friends. The whole time over several months we hung out and talked about music I did not make the Misfits album art connection, so we both just talked about our love for music as friends in the afternoons before he spun records on Thursday(?) nights... long time ago... kinda foggy. Dude had Dadoo sleeve action before most... anyway this is a SCARY WHITE shirt with his unmistakable art based on Lon Chaney Sr.'s Masque of the Red Death from the original Phantom of the Opera, 1925. C'mon- the Dickies! Marc had these made DIY style to promote Reptile Club. Shirt tag says 42-44- but it's a small-ish large size. Shirt is in VG shape and art is faded a bit on the top as seen in photos as it's a cheap punk turn-and-burn print job. Very slight yellowing around collar where I probably sweated at at punk show years later... sorry not sorry, bleach it out... Overall very good condition. See pic with a few old ticket stubs from the fabulous Bacchanal- for club provenance (John Entwhistle, Divinyls, The Damned, Michael Schenker). Marc also did album art for BATTALION OF SAINTS, TEX AND THE HORSEHEADS and others. YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER ONE OF THESE. Marc was an amazing cat. Bid accordingly. Tex and the Horseheads shirt signed by Texacala, Mike Mart and Smog Vomit at Casbah show San Diego MIGHT be up for auction if ya's hit me up... kinda nostalgic about it though...
