This note features the first use of the redesigned large portrait Jackson. ( Big Head Design ). In 1996 the United States made a decision to change the design of its currency to featured more security features. The mint started with the 100 and 50 dollar note and did not print the new style 20's until 1998. Note that this first series note is dated 1996.
