Description: About this vehicle This 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great and is used as a daily driver. Vehicle Details This body style Truck is my personal favorite from all Year models, it’s no secrete that Gm trucks had some common fail points not specific to any year but from around 2013- 2018. The issue most have dealt with is the failure of the 6L80 transmission due to torque converter failure. The other issue GM owners have had to work threw was the Active Fuel Management technology causing premature lifter failure. This truck did experience transmission failure at 107k miles. Since the truck was sitting in my shop with no tranny I decided to eliminate the the possibility of the AMF technology causing issues and fully took advantage of the opportunity to build an engine that’s strong and reliable. I went with Texas Speed all the way around, stage 1 Cam, rebuilt the rockets with TSP recommended LS rockers. LT1 lifters all the way around. With LT1 timing chain set up. Zero degree cam phaser lock out. LT1 intake manifold, and 104mm throttle body. TSP duel valve springs and push rods. ARP studs with 2 additional machined holes like the LT1 block have to bullet proof the head to block seal. New ported heads were also installed. AFM delete kit from TSP and valley cover. True duels without cats on exhaust system. I had originally planned to run forced induction however the truck remains naturally aspirated. It does have AFE momentum Power GT CAI. New all aluminum Radiator that holds an oil cooler and trans cooler on each side tank. New AC condenser that also serves as an aux. trans cooler, with another Circle D recommended stacked plate cooler mounted in the grille. The transmission was sent to me new from Monster Transmission, who is supposed to be the best in the buisness. After the 3rd attempt by monster transmission I decide to open it up myself, after finding missing bolts and valves installed backwards in the valve body I decided I would never do business with MT again. I contacted Circle D transmission and purchased there level 2 rebuild kit and rebuild it myself with a new pump cover and pump stator, reinforced welds on all the clutch housings that needed it, new sprag, Low Reverse housing, NEW ACDELCO transmission control Module. And a 300 mm triple disk billet torque converter from circle D pro series. The magna auto transfer case Was also rebuilt with all new seals and bushings, and lift pump filters, front did was also rebuilt. The truck has 10” of lift with brand new 37” MT tires. It has a hideaway 12,000lb winch mounted inside the front bumper, LED headlights and fog lights, wheel spacers for clearance of the 37s. It has a Diablo sport programmer mounted inside that’s just used to monitor guages. The truck runs HP tuners professionally tuned for high octane, however the truck is a flex fuel truck.
