Description: These two early Beatles records — “meet the Beatles”. & “help!” were recently excavated from our basement, and they are not in the best of shape. “Meet” has had edges sealed with masking tape and has a name (Barbara Kozlowski) written on it. I did not remove the tape for fear of damage— you could probably do a good job of it and have an authentic historical artifact ready to be framed. The record does not look like it should be played, with visible scratches and prints, At least give it a good cleaning before play. “Help!” is in much better condition, and the record looks like it’s in decent shape, with no visible scratches — perhaps nicely playable for a 1965 mono recording ! The cover has some water damage in the front, but the interior looks very good & the back cover is also in good condition. This album does not have the word “stereo“ anywhere on it — (anything stereo would have screamed it on the cover in those days)— so we conclude that it is an early u.s. mono pressing if this classic album/ movie soundtrack. Finally, I currently do not have a turntable hooked up — so I have not listened to this version of “help!” in a few decades..
