This is most likely from Nigeria, but could be from Gabon, Cameroon or Equatorial Guinea as the Igbo people are present in those nations as well. The wooden headdress is carved and painted in black, white and red, on both the front and back, and has glass pieces inserted for eyes. The main figure has a white face with red lips and white teeth, antlers and large earpieces. Often masks that have eyes are associated with elites or supernatural beings. Measurements: 9 x 6 1/2 x 5 inches Weight: 10 oz Condition: Good condition. Nice aged patina. Minor scuffs and losses commensurate with age and use.
