Description: Up for offer here is an antique, 18th century, 1771, 2 volume book set entitled Letters Written by a Peruvian Princess, A New Edition, in Tow Volumes, that was published in London, Printed for J. Robson Bookseller at The Feathers New Bond Street. This was first published in French in 1747, Lettres d'une Péruvienne, and was an instant bestseller. It was soon was translated into several languages. The first English edition was printed in 1748, in Dublin. The New Edition is an added sequel. There is toning to some of the pages, which is natural given the age. Also some cover condition issues, see photos. Books measure approximately 6 7/8" x 4 1/4" x 6/8".
