Description: For auction is a hand-made wooden figure of a boy scout in a campaign hat and shorts giving the boy scout salute. I believe it dates from the 1920s or 1930s. The man from whom I purchased it said that his grandfather used it with a scout troop for which he was the scoutmaster. The piece is well constructed and well painted and is in excellent condition for its age. It is painted on just one side. The base measures 12" by 3 1/2" by 2 1/2" tall and the figure stands 15 3/4" above the base. The figure is constructed of lumber that is 1 1/8" thick(CH).
