Description: This is an incredible color fashion plate from the Regency Era (think Bridgerton) from August 1807. It features 2 ladies dresses in white dresses, one holding a parasol, wearing a black shawl and hat. The other lady's dress has short sleeves and her hair looks as though it is short. This fashion plate was removed at some point in time from La Belle Assemblee, a magazine from the 1800s that was full of gossip, fashion, and other things a lady would have wanted and needed to be fashionable! At some point in time, someone wrote "1" and "2" over the ladies heads and "328" in pencil at the top and bottom of the page, possibly the number of the plate, and painted a black area at the top upper left back. As I was not that person, I have no idea why this would have happened! This is a great example of fashion material from over 200 years ago and a perfect reference of fashion for those who like to recreate dresses from this era!
