Description: For sale is this antique blacksmith hand forged chipping hammer weighing 1lb.0.4 ounces overall, with handle. Unsigned, it has a 6-1/8" head with a 7/8" wide end, and with a pointed end. The flat profile 11-5/8" wood handle is sound and seemingly solid, but with a vertical crack under the head on both sides, as shown in the last two{2} pictures.. The steel is in excellent overall condition, with a rough and rugged hand forged patina, as pictured.
