Description: Early 20th Century antique Chalkware figure of a little girl and a dog. It is titled "Can't You Talk" to the front edge. It is made to represent the famous painting of the same name by George Augustus Holmes. Rare survivor! There is a date written on the bottom...Dec 25th 1929. It was likely a Christmas gift at the beginning of the great depression. There are some paint chips and chip on the side of the base. It still displays nicely and is a very hard piece to find! Please refer to photos. It measures approximately 7" long x 3" wide x 5" tall.
