From 1887, the first decorated barbotines appeared from the Bruyn earthenware factory in Fives-Lille: cache-pots, pitchers, tobacco pots but also planters and vases. In 1889 Gustave de BRUYN was awarded a medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris.)
