Description: Beautifully hand painted roses and mixed florals trimmed in gold on this scalloped shape set made for Cowell and Hubbard a jewelry and finery shop in Cleveland c.1900. I acquired several sets of this pattern. All of the saucers are marked with Cowell and Hubbard. Most cups are unmarked- except one- which has writing in a style which typically I see on Limoges pieces. In addition, based on the feel of the porcelain and general style I am quite certain these are Limoges pieces painted for the shop. Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or damage. Extremely light wear to gold trim. Cup rings nicely when tapped. Up to 3 available in this condition.
