Description: Antique Shakudo Japanese mixed metal box. The box has decorative gilt overlays featuring a peony basket, pair of herons, sparrow and plum blossom on cloud background. Dates Meiji period (1868-1912). Measures approximately 2 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/3".Box is in good condition commensurate with age. Opens and closes tight. Missing plaque on left side.
