Description: A Victorian nickel plated brass mechanical doorbell and control lever. The bell cover measures 3-1/2" in diameter and the base it sits in measures 3-5/8" in diameter with the mount holes measuring 4-1/8" o.c. The lever back plate measure 2-3/8" x 3-3/8". The base plate on the bell is marked "Patd. July 2, 1872. There are no marks identifying the maker. There is a little wear to the plate where the dong strikes and there is some plate wear on the lever. It is operable and in very good condition.
