Description: This is a fabulous antique farmhouse dry sink we picked up in the southeast. It is certainly handmade and put together with rectangular shank forged nails, which dates it between 1800 and 1880. I can imagine it doing it's daily chores in an old farmhouse kitchen. This piece boasts the most marvelous patina. It shows many years of natural rubbing and use that has caused the wood to be rounded around the rim. The craftsman that made this piece took extra care to fashion the doors and the skirt on the sides to match. There are two cabinet doors on the bottom. The latch on one of them does not latch perfectly, but that's to be expected on a piece this old. All the hardware and wood is original. Inside the cabinets of this very sturdy piece is a shelf consisting of a single cut board that stretches the entire length. The backboards truly show the age of this piece. There is very slight wood separation on one of the sides. Overall it has an absolutely marvelous patina. Please look at all the pictures for details. It is 41.5" wide, 19.25" deep and 36" tall. The top is 4.5" deep.
