Description: Excellent restored vintage condition. Minimal fine surface scratches or other signs of wear. Some stones were missing, and the brooch was professionally restored by a jeweler as follows: a few broken prongs were re-built, missing opals and pearls were replaced with comparable stones, and entire piece was beautifully polished. It's restored condition is absolutely breathtaking. Opals have natural inclusions and slight size and color variations. The pearls have wonderful lustre, and the blood orange garnet sparkles with the table cut facets. The pin is secured by a fancy c-clasp that has an inner "hook"--you'll have to gently "pop" the pin in and out, so be careful! Piece can be converted to a pendant using the hidden hook bale on the back. Unmarked, but acid scratch tested positive for 14K gold purity. Shipped in a jewelry gift box and carefully wrapped inside and out.
