Description: Early Upper Bay duck. Has been hunted over. Working style, two piece body showing seam and natural wear and patina from use. Eyes are more contemporary than the duck. 1930-50 era. Marked 1874 underneath with illegible rig names etched crudely. We assume carver copied from an 1800’s duck but do not believe this one to be quite that old. This is from a Kent County, MD collection that we are in the process of offering for sale.
