Description: Style Art Nouveau Technique moulded Majolica Maker Henry Richard's Date 1903. Size 6 1/8 x 6 1/8 or 155mm x 155mm A stunning and very unusual design it looks like the water lily has wings it fills the tile to all four corners. I had never seen this design with a border until finding these. They were found in a washstand left in a loft space after a house move. Its in good condition with one tiny nibble on the top glaze on the bottom edge . The left hand corner has been trimmed for original fitting into the washstand. It has a rough edge to the top right. There is a tiny amount of surface ware on the bottom right wing. It has a nice clean back with the reg no 408376 and England embossed. Please check the photo's carefully as this forms part of the description. Each and every tile is a piece of history and a small work of art made by British craftsmanship. To my overseas buyers I use ebay's global shipping so please check the shipping cost before buying or making an offer. Since writing this description I have found many others online and they are of inferior quality with manufacturing flaws and colours not even. So these are quite special with strong even colours and excellent condition. I personally think they must of had issues with the manufacturing process with this design. I HAVE ANOTHER TWO LISTED AND SEVEN MORE IN STOCK. I take great care when packing all my tiles to ensure a safe delivery. Thank you for taking the time to browse :-)
