Description: BAILEY No 5 FROG Part Wood Plane Stanley 7th donor Tool This auction is for the frog (blade holding) part, only, of a Bailey / Stanley #5 wood working Jack plane. The frog is about 7 1/8” long and 1 15/16” wide. The paint is faded with some scratches and scuffs. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. The Bailey No.5 plane was used as a general-purpose tool for dressing down rough timber to the desired size. The blade was often ground slightly convex to prevent digging into or marking the wood. It was often referred to as a Jack (Jack-of-all-trades) plane. The pictures are part of the description to show what is included in the auction and its condition. Sales are final, so please ask questions before bidding. Bidding and payment are done on-line. Economy shipment or pick-up follows payment.
