Many #5 Vintage Barbie Dolls have a "greasy" looking face due to the type of vinyl used (this problem no longer exists). II. For Sale: The Barbie®Pet Vet Doll, Brunette, Wearing Career Pet-print Dress. 2020 edition. Since at least 2018 Mattel has been marketing Barbie as a DVM (Doctor Of Veterinarian Medicine). The 2015 issue was Asian with a Puppy patient. The 2020 is White (Caucasion with olive skin) with Brunette hair and a Perian Kitten patient. Mattels offers several outfits in the medical field including Scrubs,and Surgical head wear and diffrnt length gowns gowns. They also have a full line of vetinary accseories for thos that wish to give her an office. In my opinion the 2020 Brunette has shown improvments over the previous issues, with a more realitic appearnce and better facial detail. The doll is still the standard size 12" (11.5" actual), so it will acomadat any previous outfits and acesories going back to 1960. The doll does not stand alone and requires a stand for those that wish to pose her or stand her upright. All and all I think mattel did a good job at a good price point. The manufacture has the standard warning of "not for children under 3" . Her hair is flowing and long falling between the armpit and mid back. a. Persian Kitten patient, stethoscope, Brunette hair with thin highlights. Makes a great gift for girls 3 years old and up, especially those interested in animals and caretaking.
