Description: Antique Art Nouveau Glazed Ceramic Tile. Made by George Schmider Co. of Germany. Water lily in green yellow and purple on slightly creamy white ground. 5 7/8" x 5 7/8" x 1/4" thick. Back impressed with 49. No other markings found. CONDITION: Glaze flaking at edges, may go slightly into clay body. Glaze void at side edge towards back. Discolored roughness to lower right edge with the roughness being in the making flaw. Minute nicks to tubelining. Please study photos. This will be safely packaged.
