In this well worn yet impressive 114-year-old volume, Dugmore describes photographing big game during a trip across Kenya’s Athi Plains, eventually arriving at the Guaso Nyrio. While his purpose was to photograph animals, there are several hunting incidents concerning rhino and plains game … Imperial Octavo hardback, more than 7.5 inches by 11.25 tall, is bound in its publisher's original decorated red cloth (US variant is blue) featuring rhino in grass beneath titling, all original gilt . Although interior condition is overall good, because this original letterpress book is more than 100 years old it displays minor signs of use and age — some plate pages working loose but present; the usual discolouration to old paper — consistent with a printed object of this vintage.
