I can't even guess what a real one this size one run, but it'd be in the 5 digits for sure. Oh, you ask, just what IS Padparadsha Sapphire? Well, it's basically a bright Orange Sapphire from the mining district of Padparadsha, India. I's essentially played out now, but 20 years ago, it was producing Sapphire with the most amazing play of red and yellow fire. Alas, no more. We do have a source, though, for a created sapphire with the same awesome color attributes, and for a ton less money. In plain English, this is simply a very pretty stone, and it's well mounted in this Sterling Silver ring. Gives me goosebumps just to look at it. This ring has got great filigree running down the sides, and the stone is set in an East-West orientation. It is simple enough for everyday wear, yet pretty enough to wear out in the evening. All of our Sterling Silver is made with a state of the art alloy which modifies the traditional Sterling Silver alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with the metalloid Germanium. Adding Germanium to the Sterling Silver results in a highly tarnish resistant silver. Since the resulting metal is still 92.5% pure silver, is still qualifies as Sterling Silver -- just better.
