This unique shape ---a box shape turned to stand on the corner point---is vaguely Southwest Indian (my opinion)The 'Title' written into the one side (hard to read) says 'Sante _____'The signature and date on the other side is, again, written into the clay--'David + Silverman 84'Measures 17" from top to bottom and 16" from side to sideRough natural clay shown in photo image with gloss dark brown line/opening frame This item was a gift from Gumps San Francisco---and given in 1985 I know nothing else about the artist or if this is a collaboration. It is a thick, heavy item and perfectly shaped and finished.Custom stand is included.
