Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single by Dion titled "(I Was) Born To Cry b/w Lovers Who Wander", originally released in 1962 by Laurie Records. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The archival inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. In the dead wax, between the labels and the last tracks, is etched a raised "XX", followed by the matrix numbers 1-K/1-K, indicating that early stampers were used to make this single at Shelley Products' pressing plant, located in Huntington Station, New York. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good Plus because of superficial sleeve marks and hairlines, but still with surfaces that are shiny and bright without any scuffs or smudges. I'm play grading this single between Very Good Plus and Excellent because of occasional super low levels of surface noise. It plays all the way through without any skips, pops or lock-ups from start to finish. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
