Description: Back by popular demand after being off of the market for almost 15 years, this newly-engineered version of our original Plug Door kit is available and ready for shipment. Manufactured for us by Jim King of Smoky Mountain Model Works, the door is molded in easy-to-work-with urethane and mastered from our original door casting with no loss of fidelity to detail. The door rods are 3D-printed in resin because it’s a very flexible and forgiving material and yet is very durable! And the parts take paint with no problems. These are designed to fit with little extra work into the old Robins Rails/Bev Bel 50’ PS-1 Box Car kits and will fit into the Kadee, Branchline, Atlas and Intermountain 50’ Box Cars and the Walthers Waffle-Side car with some minor modifications to the door openings. Suitable for use to make Bangor & Aroostook 6300-6499 series PS-1 cars, among others as well as some Maine Central and New Haven Box Cars.
