In 1923, Grosz and the publisher were accused by the public prosecutor in Berlin of having "offered indecent images and representations" and 23 sheets were confiscated. This is the complete original. Plates are Fine and none are missing. No tears or marks. Cover has mild edge toning all around with small spots on back. The deckle edges have wear and the deckle is toned on the inside. The beveled edge are VG. There are two 3/8” tears off the top spine. There is a tasteful book plate on the inside front cover which could be that of a well-known zoologist. Binding is firm and tight. Color plates are bright and Fine. No loose leaves. Not xlib.
