Uncut 14 page pressbook from Allied Artists introduced The Amazing New Audience Participation Sensation, HYPNOMAGIC! Film starred Jacques Bergerac, Merry Anders, Marcia Henderson, Allison Hayes, Lawrence Lipton (billed as "Beatnik Poet Laureate") and Fred Demara (billed as "World's Greatest Impostor" (Demara was a notorious real life who inspired a movie biography starring Tony Curtis and this is his only actual movie performance). Pressbook is folded in half and features a Carnival style frame worthy cover promoting the HypnoMagic process. Interior pages are devoted to newspaper ready articles about HypnoMagic (along with great full page spread detailing the exploitation possibilities of the process), the film's stars, production background and photos of the cast (with great EYE and screaming women images). Many pages are devoted to exploitation ad slicks with tag lines like “To the Timid, The Wary, The Shy... Don't Be Afraid if you do not wish to come under the spell of HypnoMagic” Pressbook also offers pages of teaser cartoons and promo tie ins (including one devoted to Demara). Pressbook is in overall very good condition. Cover has some minor edge wear and a few small edge tears. Spine has 1” tear at the fold. Back cover has 2” tear at the midpoint. Interior pages are bright and glossy with no cut outs. Some pages have half to 1” tears at the midpoint border. Overall a great rare pressbook to this offbeat gimmick film that dares you to survive HypnoMagic!
