Description: Exquisite Tall Antique Japanese Kutani Carved HP Porcelain Gourd Vase 16" 19th c Finely painted antique Japanese porcelain large scale gourd shaped vase, intricately painted with birds in flight in a landscape of flowers and shrubs, trimmed with red and gold on carved banners. Late 19th century, Meiji period. Bears the hand written mark "Nihon Kutani" (Japan Kutani). The large vase is 15 1/2 inches tall by 9 inches wide at the widest point. Condition: Excellent with no chips or cracks or repairs. Checked under blacklight. Please see the detail photos. The vase weighs 7 lb 11 oz (shipping weight 13 lbs). Domestic shipping is $24.95.
