Item Description Fender 1975 Stratocaster -Sunburst/Maple- (1975) Stratocaster with "2 string guide", "plate serial", and "alder body". From the serial number range, we determined that it was an individual made around 1975. The large head with a tanned top looks cool, and the moderately thick U-shaped neck is carefully refretted for good playability. Frets of a size similar to the original were selected, and the current neck condition is good, with about 80% remaining. The body is a reddish sunburst with a burnt white pickguard, giving it a look that feels like the early 70's. There are some scratches left on the top of the pickup cavity, and the switch and pot have been replaced with recent ones. The pickup is mounted with a style that matches the height of the pole pieces from this period, and has a hard and sharp sound. Although there are scratches and damage commensurate with its age, it is an individual that has been well maintained and has been played with.
