He served as Chief of Staff of the United States Army, the 50th United States Secretary of State and the 3rd United States Secretary of Defense. Marshall was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1953 for the Marshall Plan which directed the economic rebuilding of Europe after World War II. Listed for auction is the autograph of George C. Marshall, Jr. signed on a War Department card. The autograph is signed ''G.C. Marshall'' in blue fountain pen and has his rank below in type. The card measures 5.00 x 3.00 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition.
