Description: Selling my aerospeed! Graflex Pacemaker Speed Graphic 4x5 Kodak Aero Ektar 178/2.5 Metal lens board THE GOOD: Everything works. The shutter is snappy and well tensioned (see video), the curtain is intact and free of pinholes. The bellows is intact and free of pinholes. The ground glass is clear and unbroken. All springs work - the ground glass spring, the door latch spring, the curtain springs. All lensboard functions work - the lensboard moves freely on the tracks, the carriage guides are present and working, the front track moves in and out smoothly. Front shift works. Front tilt works. Front rise works (see photos). Rangefinder, viewfinder and sport finder are all present (though the rangefinder is untested - this does not come with a stock 127mm lens so the rangefinder will not be calibrated to the AE). The leather is intact and has no zeiss bumps. The lens aperture works and all aperture blades are present. The front glass has no chips or scratches. The rear glass has no chips or scratches. There is no fungus. There is no balsam separation. THE BAD: This camera is like 60 or 70 years old - the leather could use a reconditioning to get it to showroom condition. The metal is pitted in several places. The cover window over the speed indicator on the control side is missing (no effect on function). There appears to be a surface crack in the metal in the ground glass holder (no effect on function). There are two tiny screws missing from the right door strut guide (no effect on function). THE UGLY: The lens has some discoloration on the front element (see photos). I am currently on a 2-month stint away from home so I have no access to my usual cleaning chemicals/wipes - it's possible this can be cleaned up. I've done what I can with tap water and a cotton cloth. This has no effect on photos. Overall I'd rate this kit at an 8.5/10. 100% functional, some cosmetic blemishes, not concours-grade but a hell of a shooter. I've used this kit extensively this year and it is superb. Selling because I have way too much camera stuff.
