Description: This hand forged rounding hammer is available in multiple weights ranging from 2-3lbs. This design is a favorite of modern blacksmiths as it is incredibly versatile. The rounded face moves metal extremely efficiently, while the flat face leaves a nice, smooth finish on your work. The edges of the flat face also serve as straight/cross pein by angling the hammer. The hammer is forged from a solid piece of new 1045 carbon iron and hardened/tempered accordingly. The hand-carved handle is 12 inches of sheesham and flame hardened before getting a coat of boiled linseed oil. The hammer will arrive with the faces dressed and ready to go to work. Please note that I will include a steel wedge with the hammer. Wood can shrink and swell over time especially when being shipped to around the country and exposed to various environments. The wedge can be installed if you need to tighten the head up to the handle.
