Description: A book of daily readings from a variety of sources, compiled by the well-loved New York City pastor, Philips Brooks, with an introduction by Brooks. published in a memorial edition by D.Lothrop Company of Boston in 1893, shortly after Brooks' death. Sarah W. Wilson and Martha S. Hussey are named on title page as "editors." This copy is in quite good condition, tight and sound, unmarked except for 1900 gift inscription on front endpaper. There is a small rip at top of title page and a smaller rip at bottom of another page near spine, light cvr wear at edges and corners, normal age tanning of pages, but quite excellent for its age.
