HUGE 30" Heinrich Handwerck German Bisque Head Doll, Simon & Halbig Antique

Description: Wonderful, large antique German bisque head doll by Heinrich Handwerck Simon & Halbig....c. 1900....would measure approximately 30" tall once assembled....both head and body are marked....head is size 6 1/2....Overall Excellent Condition....better than most....no damage to head, other than a teeny tiny wig pull under the "G" in "Germany"....both ear piercings are excellent with no flakes....eyes appear original and retain good eyelid wax and the original plasters....body has original paint & shellac and is clearly stamped "Heinrich Handwerck Germany"....only flaws are minor: one lower leg has some spidering in the composition coating (none missing), one hand appears to have some old touch-up on top, and one big toe is missing some of the composition coating, however the toe is there....the worst news about this doll is that both upper leg joints and knee beads are contemporary replacements....the upper leg joints feel like a hard plastic or resin and both knee beads are wood....included are the wig and pate that came with her when I purchased her....both wig and pate are contemporary, however I believe the wig is mohair and looks ok....from a non-smoking and pet-free home....please study all photos, feel free to ask questions, and be sure to check out my other interesting antique auctions!
