Description: International Deep Silver SERENITY Silverplate Flatware Set for 12A total of 64 pieces. This set includes 12 each of dinner knives, dinner forks, salad forks, table spoons, and teaspoons. Also 1 slotted serving spoon, 1 regular serving spoon, 1 small knife and one small pear shaped spoon. Deep Silver was offered by International Silver during the 1960s. Patterns in Deep Silver were more expensive than regular silver-plated flatware, yet less expensive than sterling. The company promoted Deep Silver as having a heavy plating combined with a bar of sterling at the places the utensils rested on the table. In other words, the buyer did not have to worry about a loss of silver on the back of a fork or spoon where it rested on the table as that spot was reinforced with a small bar of sterling silver. Good condition with the usual signs of wear. A few pieces were purchased from Replacement.com. There are 3 knives that show "Korea" on the blade (see photos), the other 9 don't have that.
