Description: Up for bid is a very collectible signed offset lithograph print by the legendary American conceptual artist JOHN BALDESSARI. Designed in 1982 to celebrate the upcoming 1984 Summer Olympics, this print comes from a limited edition portfolio of 15 artists who were commissioned to promote the event. Published by Knapp Communications for the Los Angeles Olympics Organizing Committee; printed by Alan Lithographic Inc.(Los Angeles, CA). This example comes from the deluxe signed portfolio of 750 unnumbered copies. It is widely known that only about 200 portfolios were actually distributed...all remaining copies destroyed. Printed on a sheet of Parsons Diploma Parchment matte paper, and signed by the artist in pencil at the lower center margin as shown. Dimensions measures 36" x 24" (91 x 64 cm) and is in excellent vintage condition with very minor handling wear and toning. Authenticity is guaranteed. Please note, all artist contributions were also printed as a larger unsigned edition that was printed on a similar sized glossy coated paper. The 15 artists included in the portfolio...
