King Henry VII (1457-1509) was the first monarch of the famous House of Tudor. After defeating Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field, the new King of England controlled the nation for 24 years. He was succeeded by his more famous son Henry VIII. King Henry VII created a political environment where England could be ruled peacefully and the ruling family could pass on the crown reliably without violence. Worn. Mailing Creases.
