Description: Korea Era USMC Marine Corps M1941 Knapsack or Lower Combat Pack - OD Green Color - Dated 1952 - Excellent Condition Up for sale is a Korea Era USMC Marine Corps M1941 Knapsack or Lower Combat Pack. This pack is in Excellent Condition, see photo's. No fading in the color. It is OD green in color. No rips or tears, no fraying on the canvas. All of the straps and fasteners are still present. The D-tip on one of the straps is no longer present, see photo. It has the USMC markings with a 1952 date. Construction, color and materials are consistent with early 1950's production. These are the later packs with the full throat "roll top" rather than the older single flap design. The pack is used, please see photos for condition. It is getting more difficult to find these packs in this condition. The Knapsack was designed to be worn attached to the combat Haversack Pack or alone by having the M1941 combat suspenders laced through a canvas strap stitched on the back of the pack. Connecting the knapsack in this manner meant it could not be removed without removal and dismantling of all web gear. This would make a nice piece for all you collectors of WWII battle rifle such as the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M1903 Springfield, M1941 Johnson Rifle, M1917 Enfield Rifle, Etc.
