Description: Pictured is an early blue & white spongeware slop pot lid offered for sale. The lid has two thin cobalt blue slip bands separated by a wider 3/8" band around the midsection & a bridged finial grip. The slightly domed lid measures 8 3/4" in diameter & dates from 1895 - 1920. It's in excellent condition with a single shallow flake seen on the underside rim, see Pic, 2 o'clock.
