The hymns were selected by individuals from the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The book features religious music with a focus on hymns and is a great addition to any collection. This Little Hymnal is perfect for anyone interested in religious music and history, particularly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church (Community of Christ). The book contains 333 hymns selected from "The Hymnal," under the direction of a committee. Songs were primarily selected from categories such as Prayer, Resurrection, and Priesthood, and were to be used at conferences, reunions, institutes and district gatherings. The Hymnal was replaced by the RLDS in 1983 with a newer version that was considered, in part, to be more inclusive of women and be more reflective of the Church's worldwide mission. As such, this Little Hymnal would also have been replaced at that time. Overall good vintage condition, with some wear and discoloration to the covers. Some pages are turned up at the corners, and pages are discolored from age. There are two additional songs with typewritten lyrics only - these have been attached to the last page and inside back cover of the book. Please see all photos.
