Jack Odell, one of the founders of the Matchbox diecast company, founded Lledo (Odell backwards) in 1982, and launched the "Days Gone" range of models in 1983, serving a market previously popularised by the Matchbox "Models of Yesteryear" series. The 1939 Ford Fire Engine wasn't introduced to the Days Gone range until 1996, so far fewer variants exist in comparison to some of the longer-established models in the range. This example, from 1997, is in the livery of Chicago Fire Dept. Excellent pre-owned condition in original box. Box has minor wear, but no serious rips, splits or taped-up corners.
