The spot that looks like a flake on the base appears to be original to the piece; it does not feel "rough". These items were made on the "work fast and get it on the boat" method and it's pretty tough to find a factory or studio piece that does not have a minor bite. No other issues to note. No calcification or deposits. Nice glaze and rich underglaze coloring. Unusual palette - caramel, pink, cobalt and medium blue. Traditional buildings and ziggurats.
